About SGBAU Amravati
SGBAU accepts MHT CET exam scores for admission to BTech courses. The MHT CET 2024 exam for the PCM group has started, and the exams will be conducted on May 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, and 17. The result is expected to be announced in the second week of June 2024. Counselling for BTech based on MHT CET for admission to SGBAU will be held from June to August 2024 (tentatively).
Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, also known as SGBAU or Amravati University, was established on May 1st, 1983. The university is built on 470.63 acres of lush green campus. It is recognised by the University Grant Commission (UGC). There are around 128 colleges affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University in the Amravati district, 64 colleges in the Akola district, 88 colleges in the Buldhana district, 97 colleges in Yavatmal district, and 41 colleges in the Wasim district. A total of 418 colleges are affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University.
The university’s efforts to develop and uplift the country's youth are supported by grants from various funding agencies, such as the University Grants Commission (UGC), the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), and so on. The university also has special recognition through collaboration with premier institutes globally.
Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University’s determination to provide excellence in the education service can be understood from the fact that the university was re-accredited with a B-grade with a CGPA of 2.63 in 2010 and with immense hard work, determination, and dedication the university achieved the accreditation of A-grade with CGPA 3.07 in 2016. SGBAU admission process for BTech requires candidates to attend the MHT CET counselling process which is based on MHT CET score. MHT CET 2024 exam for PCM group will be held between May 02-17, 2024. As for the counselling, it is expected to be held between July and August 2024.
SGBAU offers admission at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD levels. The minimum criteria for SGBAU admission to B.Tech course is 60% in the PCM group in Class 12. The SGBAU BTech admission is based on MHT CET result and the admission process is through MHT CET counseling.

SGBAU Amravati Scholarships
With a vision to uplift the students belonging to the rural area, SGBAU scholarships are for the needy and meritorious students. The university also offers scholarships for academic toppers. State and national level scholarships are also supported by the students. There are few scholarship schemes offered by the state and central government the benefits of which are also provided by the university to the students as follows
- Late Shri Shankarrao Govindrao Jog and Smt. Parvatibai Shankarrao Jog Scholarship: - B.Sc students having physics as one of the optional subjects are eligible for this scholarship. Students receive Rs 500 for a year under this scheme.
- Veer Uttamrao Mohite Scholarship: - Batch topper of MA History will be offered Rs 2,800 for a year.
- Late Dilip B Shingore Scholarship: - One final year student of BE Electrical Engineering is provided with a scholarship of Rs 1,500 for one year.
- Late Dr. M. N. Kale Memorial Research Scholarships: - Three students from Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University post graduate teaching departments are provided a scholarship of Rs 10,000 for 2 years
Batch toppers of each course are offered gold medals, silver medals, and cash prizes as a scholarship. Special scholarship for students belonging to the Economically Weaker Section is also provided.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) administered the All India Competitive Examinations (AICE) - JRF/SRF (PhD)-2024 and the All India Entrance Examination for Admission AIEEA (PG) of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) for acceptance to PG and PhD degree programs for the educational year 2024-25. The test was administered in 91 cities at 170 sites where nearly 41,148 out of the 46,452 applicants admitted to the examination showed up. On the NTA's official website @exams.nta.ac.in/ICAR/, students' recorded answers, post-exam inquiries, and preliminary answer keys were available. Students were also encouraged to submit objections (if any). The subject matter experts validated all requests that were submitted, and the finalised, approved ICAR AIEEA final answer key 2024 was utilised to process the results.
